Joeki van der Esch is an artist, working with a variety of media.
She lives and works in Amsterdam and in her studio in France.
After studying at the Academy of Arts, The Hague, where she focussed on fashion illustration, she worked as a fashion stylist for most of her career.
Her passion and appreciation of colour, form and theatre has developed over the years through her travels, working in the fashion industry and television.
Since 1996 she has translated her vision of colour and form by working with oil on canvas and other media.
She has successfully completed a number of private and commercial commission pieces, including “De Hypotheker” and “De Dekamarkt”. She also paints for her own enjoyment which she regularly exhibits and offers for sale.
Her sources of inspiration are: The People, Circus, Theatre, Table and Food Presentment and The French Countryside.
